What you’ll do

Our technology has life-changing impact on people with communication and mobility challenges by giving them a voice. Our Funding Team helps to make that impact possible by navigating the complex legal landscape of healthcare financing.
The Data Privacy Specialist role will be primarily responsible for supporting, guiding and directing the privacy and data protection compliance of data. This will involve communicating, supporting privacy compliance activities as per existing internal data privacy policies, standards, procedures and best practices, as well as monitoring and evaluating the organization’s adherence to these standards and guidelines. The role holder will work closely with various teams, including business areas, corporate functions, legal, IT, Information Security and compliance, to ensure that data privacy and protection requirements are met.

You will also:


Establish and govern an enterprise Data Privacy Compliance Program and Implementation Plan
Establish and rollout an enterprise-wide data privacy framework and operating model, with a focus on areas processing high risk personal data and/or sensitive personal data
Outline and support activities to comply with internal data privacy policies and procedures, in order to comply with relevant privacy and data protection regulations and industry best practices
Provide Privacy guidance, training and promote greater privacy awareness across the organization. Educate staff on applicable data privacy regulations and law, internal privacy policies, procedures and best practices.


Work with Procurement and Third-Party Risk Management teams to ensure adequacy of assessment, evaluation and monitoring of third-party vendors that hand personal data, in terms of their data handling practices, security and contracts, to ensure they comply with privacy and data protection requirements
Support incident response and breach management process. Work with information security teams to ensure adequacy of incident response plan to handle data breaches or privacy incidents effectively. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities as required
Support business areas and corporate functions in reviewing and updating all relevant Privacy Notices or statements where relevant
Conduct internal privacy audits and assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement. Recommend and implement corrective actions as needed
In conjunction with the Legal, Information Security, IT and other stakeholders, provide regular progress reports to the relevant Stakeholders

You will have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Law, or a related discipline). Certifications in privacy and data protection (e.g. CIPP, CIPT, CIPM) are highly preferred
  • At least three (3) years of experience working for major global organizations, with broad data experience, including at least two (2) years specifically part of a Privacy Compliance Program and/or Privacy Office
  • In-depth, subject matter expert knowledge of global data protection regulations and standards (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) as well as the new PDPL coming into effect within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Strong understanding of privacy and security frameworks, principles and best practices
  • Strong understanding of data privacy policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Extensive experience working within a Privacy Office for a large global organization
  • Experience with supporting incident response and breach management process
  • Should have extensive experience handing data subject requests
  • Familiarity with data classification, data flows / mapping and personal data inventory methodologies, including records of processing activities capture
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess privacy risks and develop practical solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Knowledge of privacy compliance tools and technologies, including data anonymization tools.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with clinical and reimbursement specialists
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
  • ERP/CRM experience preferred
  • MS Office, including MS Word and Excel
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Understanding of FTP processes preferred

S³ Inc. is seeking an MOU Security Specialist to support our STORM programs at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.

Description

The Security Specialist will serve as the primary security point of contact for the Precision Guided Munition Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) and co-production efforts due to the expanding mission of the Strategic and Operational Rocket and Missiles (STORM) Project Office (PO), Program Executive Office, Missiles and Space (PEO MS). The Security Specialist will have responsibilities that include: organization, planning, and control of security programs which affect designated countries within the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, interpreting, and providing guidance on existing security policies, regulations directives, and procedures; providing security guidance to all Government and contractor personnel associated with the cooperative efforts associated with the MOU.
  • Recommending, formulating, and negotiating solutions to security problems.
  • Attending conferences, working groups, and committees meetings to provide technical expertise on areas of security responsibilities.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, and briefings as required.
  • Supporting the STORM Security Directorate to complete well-structured tasks in support of Army Regulation 380-10.
  • Monitoring and managing email inbox regularly to stay updated on incoming inquiries, questions, issues, and concerns and, responding promptly to ensure timely and effective communication with MOU members and stakeholder.
  • Producing reports on a regular basis (weekly/monthly) to keep top level management apprised of the status of the Security Program and for performance management/performance improvement initiatives.
  • Providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the security and integrity of the STORM Security Office-require customer interaction, security procedures, and administrative duties.
  • Resolving a wide variety of complex security clearance problems that require choosing alternative responses through coordination with the foreign disclosure office and International Programs Directorate.
  • Reviewing, establishing, and maintaining Security Information Files related to the MOU Agreement.
  • Assisting in the overall management and administration of the Information Security Program of the Security Education and Training Program for information, personnel, and industrial security programs.
  • Performing administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with STORM security chief, security specialists, supervisors, and operating officials.

Qualifications

· Masters’ degree and 8 years of experience, Bachelors’ Degree and 10 years of experience, or a HS diploma and 14 years of experience.

  1. A secret or higher DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  2. Four or more years of experience in security programs supporting the Federal government.
  3. Three or more years of experience interpreting and providing guidance on existing security policies, regulations, directives and procedures.
  4. Two or more years of experience supporting conferences, working groups, and committee meetings to provide expertise on areas of security responsibilities.
  5. Two or more years of experience implementing and executing the requirements of Army Regulation 380-10.
  6. Three or more years of experience in providing reports or briefing security status of a program to leadership.
  7. Two or more years of experience performing administrative office support functions within a sec 2 or more years performing administrative office support functions within a security element of a within a security element of a Government organization.
  8. Prefer some experience coordinating with a foreign disclosure office or International programs organization on security related issues.
