Your responsibilities
The Field Service Engineer’s (FSE) primary role is to perform services on customer sites: preventive & corrective maintenance, commissioning, installation supervision & modification of Gutor UPS systems and batteries. The FSE works on both, on- and off-shore sites, and is in direct contact with the customer. The FSE is the connection between the customer and Gutor’s Customer Service department.
If hired, must be able to travel to Malaysia or Switzerland for a mandatory 6-week training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing installation supervision and commissioning of Gutor systems
including the batteries.
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance for Gutor UPS equipment
including batteries.
Solving UPS problems at customers’ sites and providing reports on these
issues.
Responsible for identifying and reporting failure modes encountered in the
field, as well as for determining the cause of these failures.
Training customers on equipment operation and maintenance of Gutor
systems.
Interacting with customers by phone or face-to-face.
Representing Gutor in dealing with customer concerns.
Promoting proactively Gutor services & products, including contracts, spare
parts, preventive maintenance, modifications, digital services, etc.
Keeping databases updated with completed reports & documents.
Complete work in a safe manner, in charge for the safety onsite, making sure
that nobody & no properties are endangered.
Help generate the regional business by discovering leads and opportunities
for Gutor customers.
SECONDARY DUTIES
Help out in the technical support, if necessary.
Support other teams with expertise on demand, and with pro-active feedback
(i.e. sales, test bay, R&D).
Provide help to secure / improve quality by means of IQ soft entries and other
tools.
- 24 hours stand-by on demand.
- Self-Training on existing and new products of the Gutor Portfolio.
- Evaluation of Warranty / Goodwill claims.
- KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED
Electrical technician with at least 3 years of experience in field services (UPS)
or similar experience.
BS degree of electrical engineering, electronic engineering or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, Level 1 Support (ideal: level 2
Support) Remote support for troubleshooting experience in handling
international customers with high expectations.
3 – 5 years of related experience
Strong knowledge of electronic theory to component level / electro-technical
education.
PC knowledge including profound knowledge of typical office applications and
networking.
Good written & verbal communication skills. Ability to have technical
conversations with the customer.

Cross-cultural knowledge & ability to adapt.

2. Aviation Support Equipment Technician
NSI requires a Aviation Support Equipment Technician to support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) effort for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) MH-60R Program in Al Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This effort is to support Maintenance efforts in a squadron level activity and support the sustainment of operations of a RSNF MH-60R squadron. Provides Aviation Support Equipment (AS) duties in support of an MH-60R squadron.
This includes all required inspections/repair of aviation support equipment as required by the 4790/PMIC/Special Inspections. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all things related to the support equipment work center. Utilize the Aircraft Integration Maintenance System (AIMS) vice NALCOMIS/OMA. AIMS is basically a commercial version of OMA. NSI has AIMS representatives on site for training and guidance on using AIMS. Interface with RSNF personnel daily and is expected to provide on-going ad-hoc training almost daily. Will be responsible for the production and quality of the suppo0rt equipment work center. Hands on production is expected.
Like all FMS positions, interfacing professionally with the RSNF customers is paramount. FMS customers are NOT the U.S. military, and each FMS customer presents different challenges, and the candidate is expected to respect the customers views and processes and work well with the RSNF personnel. Good/professional communication skills are a requirement.
Location: Al Jubail
Education: AS or AA degree preferred but not required.
Experience: Former Navy/Marine Corps “AS” is required. MH-60R experience preferred but not required.
Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen. Passport is required.
Special Notes/Instructions
Al Jubail is located about an hour’s drive from Bahrain. Our current Al Jubail employees often travel to Bahrain on weekends for a “change of scenery” and enjoy the restaurants and shopping as well as meeting up with local Americans stationed in Bahrain.
The pay is generous for the right candidate. Although NSI does not get involved with the “tax free status” (contact the IRS for particulars), our current employees state that if 330 days out of a 365-day period is spent deployed, the employee can apply for tax free status. Again, NSI does NOT get involved in the tax-free process.
The tour of duty is one year. One trip back to CONUS is permitted during the year. The company pays transportation costs for the return trip during the year. The employee is expect to utilize their Personal Time Off (PTO) or leave without pay during the trip back to CONUS. Apartment, vehicle and cell phone provided.
Work Weeks are Sunday thru Thursday.
